Your mission

Portfolio Management of the existing Project Finance transactions. This includes negotiation, (re-)structuring and completion of (complex) waiver requests for existing project financings and other structured transactions, but also ensuring ongoing fulfilment of internal and external regulations as well as leading internal projects in the interest of Project Finance. 

• Managing existing, mostly complex project finance transactions, which includes (i) to assess viability of amendments and changes (waiver request), preparing initial risk analysis and involving and co-working with Risk Office in line with Credit Process. Reviewing credit applications prepared by Risk Office; (ii) ongoing transaction/project management such as covenant follow-ups (when handed over from Credit Serivce, model updates, KnowYourCustomer, CRM, etc.; (iii) irregular tasks, amongst these coordination of Project Finance related internal and external audits, etc.
• Ensuring fulfillment of all required processes associated with management of existing transactions
• Structuring of waiver requests, to include the negotiation of such and the review and negotiation of all relevant transaction documentation, whilst liaising internally as appropriate.
• Where appropriate, originating Cross Sell opportunities from existing business and then liaising with the appropriate product desks in Markets, Treasury and other divisions, as appropriate.
• Assisting the Syndications Department as necessary with the sale of existing loan assets and the production of information memoranda.
• Assisting Risk management of existing loan exposures and in identifying potential cluster risks (e.g. re technology, equipment manufacturer) in the portfolio.
• Support Prpject Finance Origination in writing reports and maintaining files, statistics etc. on technologies, sectors, potential transactions, customers and prospective customers.
• Undertaking special projects, including assisting as necessary in the preparation of the annual departmental budget and development of business strategy.
• Contributing to relevant industry sector reports and working cross-functionally with other departments.

Your skills

• University level education preferably in Economics, Business Administration or Law or banking education with appropriate additional qualifications
• At least 5-7 years experience of the banking market and knowledge of available financing structures
• Strong negotiation skills, ability to understand and assess financial models, including proficiency in Excel.
• Advanced Project Finance knowledge required to address competition for business flow.
• Fluent in Italian and English, other language skills preferable
• Proficiency in risk assessment and ability to design mitigation measures to manage risk and enhance loss avoidance
• Willingness to travel, where appropriate, to meet existing and clients
• Comply with challenging timelines given the nature of the business
• High level of self-motivation, accuracy and attention to detail
